Dr. Shaida Sina


Dr. Shaida Sina has been working in the field of medicine for over 30 years. Her initial training began as a Clinical Scientist where she received her Bachelors of Science from University of Maryland’s School of Medicine’s Department of Medical and Research Technology. She trained at John’s Hopkins Hospital Laboratory and worked as a laboratory scientist in Chemistry, Hematology, Shock Trauma, Neonatal Intensive Care, and Infectious Disease at University Maryland Hospital for 12 years. Dr. Sina began her doctorate studies in medicine in 1995 at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Tempe, Arizona. She was the first naturopathic medical student trained at Mayo Clinic in the area of Infertility. Dr. Sina completed post doctorate training in the field of Environmental Medicine with an emphasis in chemical and metal detoxification.

Dr. Shaida Sina is the Medical Director of Breakthrough Medicine located in the Cottonwood Hot Yoga Plaza where she practices Functional/ Preventative / Integrative / Yoga Medicine .
Her clinical focus is on Family Practice with special interest in GI Health, Cardiology, Women’s and Men’s Longevity Medicine, Endocrinology, Brain Wellness, and Environmental Detox.

She is a referral physician for the Life Extension Foundation, Wilson’s Syndrome (Thyroid Dysfunction), and Suzanne Somers’ books: Breakthrough, Sexy Forever and her newest book TOX-SICK From Toxic to Not Sick and the Forever Health Network. Dr. Sina is also a referral provider for Dr Isabella Wentz author of Hashmotos Protol.

Breakthrough Medicine Integrative & Longevity Center is excited to have an additional office in the Hot Yoga studio downstairs from the main office. Dr. Shaida Sina is a lifestyle medicine specialist helping clients practice and maintain breathwork, proper diet and exercise, and more. Additionally, there is an organic kitchen available and clean showers for clients participating in yoga.
